finally, its over!
Hello, how's everyone? Its been like almost 2 weeks since I've last log into blogger.
Field camp is over, and that's something worth to call for a celebration! And with wet weather, on the first and the last night during the 7 days outfield, it sure dampens everyone's mood! And the very last night was the worst. There's no basha or shelter on top of us, all we could do was to wear our gortex (rain coat), sat there while letting the rain hit us. I think I've hit one of the lowest point and thought "why am I stuck in such a place and doing all this shit?" We were wet, really wet, cold, extremely cold to the extend everyone's fingers were going numb. We had to set up our little fire or even use the pathetic candle flame to warm us up a little. And when I went for my pilot medical checkup on saturday (a day after I returned from outfield, I lose freaking 5kg and at the same time, I grew 2 cm) I'm really going vertical! Anyway, been diagnose with some heart problem after the thorough checkup on sat, and now i'm undergoing further medical review. I'm not going into detail bout it, but more or less, 3 doctors are quite sure that its the problem that causes constant chest pain. haix, suddenly, I just find that life's indeed unpredictable and vulnerable.
A quick recall about the field camp and what I've found out...
- Some of the combat ration are really nice (noodles & pasta) but some are horrendously awful (rice). I took a bite and decided to munch on biscuit instead. The dessert pack always tasted good. =)
- I saw the legendary Mr Super Duper BIG centipede on the last day of field camp. OMG! Goosebumps.
- A small centipede dropped from my pants the moment I release my gutters when I was back in bunk. Woo!!
- Tekong has one of the most amazing star gazing spot on a cloudless night. Its breathe-taking and I just wished singapore can offer such fantastic view. The scene still remains vivid in my head!
Hmmm, can't really think any other happenings. But it was a memorable one. Like what others said, the tougher it is, the more memorable it will be. Yes, I do agree!

Anyway, its so good to be back home after a straight 2 weeks of confinement. The feeling is even better than the first 2 weeks of my enlistment!
Oh, I have enormous appetite after a week of outfield. I simply hate the fact that I lose the precious 5 kg again and I'm on food fest now. Met up with Esther yesterday morning for breakfast at MacDonalds. Had Hotcake meal with additional Sausage egg with McMuffin. Later she accompanied me back to Saffron to take my pay, good to see all my colleagues again, but too bad I can't lunch with them. There's always another chance! =) Don't worry guys!
Its shopping spree at Orchard again! Bought a belt and adidas bag for $49. Also bought a wholesale price Paul Smith Extreme perfume for only $30 as en is working with Luxasia. Erjie joined us shortly after we reached orchard. Went to eat the Sambal Chilli fishcake. Can't really get Esther's winter wear in Orchard, we then decided to head down to Suntec instead. Ah wei finally got her $200 worth of winter goodies with a complimentary toiletries bag from Cold Wear! haha! We had Prawn Noodles for lunch and I had 2 additional char siew bao. Thereafter I was tempted by the raisin roll and portuguese egg tart at Crystal Jade Cakery, ate that again and we had our dessert at Ben and Jerry. Ben and Jerry's ice cream taste really good, especially the Coffee flavoured one. Surprisingly, erjie said it taste better than Haagen Dazs. So its for you guys to find out! It was indeed a non-stop eating session with ah wei and erjie!
In the evening, celebrated Agnes's belated Birthday at Marche. Had Crepes and Pizza and shared some other light dishes with the rest. Had fun catching up, as we haven't met up for long. Too bad hui can't join us as she's having a bad stomach. Nevermind, there's always another day.
Its been long since I had sooo much fun on a single day from morning till late night! Thanks to all my wonderful mates who make it happens!
Tomorrow is wednesday again. Time passed exceptionally fast when we're having fun!!
